Does AVR Matters?

Im running a 550 watts powersupply on my computer but i plug it directly to the wall should i use avr or it is okay to just plug it directly to the wall?

You need AVR only if electricity at your place is unstable, otherwise connect it directly.

What's an avr? A ups and a quality surge protector is recommended.

Automatic Voltage Regulators are used where there's dity power. lots of brown outs....... Your region and the condition of you power grid is obviously relevant. dmmit Jim! I'm a pc tech., not a psychic.
