Does DDR800 works with a DDR667 board???

I'm building a system using a SIS 662... which supports DDR667
but i noticed that I ordered 2 sticks of DDR2 800mhz...
Will the ram work anyways???

yep - will just run at 667Mhz...

it will work just not at 800mhz more like 667mhz.

I'd avoid that SIS chipset if at all possible, if I recall, it doesn't even support dual-channel memory. That is unacceptable for a modern chipset, I would drop it in favor of any other chipset if possible.
