Hi!

I am going to build my first PC, but I have a small question about the Power Supply and the Motherboard. The Power Suppy has a EPS12V connectors, while the Motherboard only has one ATX12V 8-Pin connection. My question is if a EPS12V works with a ATX12V 8-Pin connection.

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova G2 750W
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A

Thanks.

Solution
ATX12V = 4 pins, EPS = 8 pins.

EPS starts with the ATX12V keying pattern and extends it by two rows, which is why some PSUs have a 4+4 EPS connector where you can use the first half to connect an ATX12V motherboard instead of having separate cables for ATX12V and EPS. They are effectively the same thing and interchangeable for most purposes. You can even plug a full EPS connector into a 4-pin ATX12V motherboard as long as there is clearance next to the socket for the unused pins.

Oh, sweet. I don't know if it's because I live in Sweden, but they have advertised the motherboard as if it would only work with ATX12V 8-Pin (which I now know is EPS12V).

Anyways, thanks for clearing up some confusion.
