Hi
I'm getting a new laptop (Asus X13 2023) and I will get some monitor that has G-sync or freesync.
And it will probably be connected via a docking station with PD charging at home.
So I can have ONE USB-C cable to connect all my stuff. That's the dream

Now, I wonder..
Will G-sync/freesync always work on an external monitor (if it has it), even when going thru a docking station?
Someone on the interwebz said "it has to be via the displayport with alt-mode and/or directly from the computer".

Hmm but I don't know.. Can this really be true?
Or should I look for a specific docking station for this to be possible?
I want to make sure I don't make a mistake

One of the USB-C ports on the laptop is USB4 with displayport and power delivery.
Not a word about alt-mode.
But it does say "adaptive-sync 165Hz"

Ok I have now searched a lot without luck
Then I randomly find this
It's a thunderbolt and usb-c docking station.
It says is "G-sync compatible" and it even supports high refresh rates for one monitor (according to the data sheet)
Strange that no other docking station mentions G-sync..
I hope it will work
