Does HDMI Display 1080p better than VGA?

Title says it all
i have a 1080p monitor but i use VGA in it
if i get a HDMI Cable will it display in better quality?
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 1 GB

Yes, digital is definitely better but the tests and reviews can lead you to expect a bigger difference than you will actually see. In practice it's not always very obvious. I'm using Identical monitors on this setup, one is connected via VGA and the Other via DVI, the difference is subtle. Whites are slightly different and one is maybe a little sharper if you look carefully but that could just as easily be the monitors themselves.

Buy a Cheap cable and give it a go, expensive cables are not any better at short distances (<10 feet/ 3M) it's all just marketing.
