does higher res. means better texture quality

Hey guys I've finally got my paycheck and I'm all set to purchase a new monitor, upgrading from a 1440x900 19" to 1920x1080 22".
I just wanted to know if I'll notice any improvement in texture quality especially in need for speed rivals

No. If the developer of a game doesn't include high-res textures, then a bigger-sized monitor or a higher resolution won't help with that.

actually it get worse with higher ress because you see more details. example is starcraft 2, that game has texture resolution that looks good on a 1600x900 monitor but cant fill bigger resolution with the same crispness.
