Does installing a M.2 SSD chip affect my sata ports or anything else?

Hi,
I currently have a MSI Z170A gaming m5 motherboard. It only has 6 Sata ports that are all being used. Id like to get another SSD but there is no Sata ports left so im looking into getting a M.2 SSD. Would fitting that on that M.2 port disable any of the Sata ports or affect anything else?

According to MSI
"M.2, SATA and SATAe ports maximum support 1x M.2_PCIe + 6x SATAs or 1x M.2_SATA + 1x M.2_PCIe + 4x SATAs. Please refer to page 34 for M.2 slots with examples of various combination possibilities."

Looks like you'll be fine with a single m.2 drive but using 2 will disable 2 sata ports.
