Now if you read that carely like I asked you to, this will work and I personally recommend that for windows only use, windows 10/11 is grubby like that for storage for its own use.
However you should have roughly 1.7tb of space left to do whatever you want.

Are you really running Windows on a HDD? This should no longer be a thing in 2025. At work I'm currently replacing HDDs with NVMe drives in office computers because the hard diskd are so slow that people are no longer able to work. The guy who bought the computers is an old man who specifically picked HDDs because he thinks SSDs are not worth it. Now the employees need to wait several seconds after every click and wait several minutes to boot when they need to restart, and that happens often since the computers keep freezing. After the replacement, it's like the computer resurrected and people can't believe it how fast it is.

SSD and HDD have same connections. It would be best if you listed your components but. If you for instance have motherboard with several SATA headers you can fill them all up with as many drives and any combination of HDDs and SSDs As far as BIOS and operative system is concerned there's no difference. They are formatted same way.

No problem, plenty of SATA connectors and even M.2 NVME port so I suggest you get an M,2 NVME SSD because they are much faster than 2.5" SATA and use it for OS and programs, HDD for storage

I have 2 ssd in my custom built pc and started running out of space , i have limited movement in my hands and did not want to open up my pc and fit another ssd so i bought an external sandisk extreme 2tb drive.

Some people say that using an external ssd for games is a bad idea , all i can say is that i have around 30 on it and dont have any performance other other issues.
