Does it matter which way to face CPU cooler?

I'll be using the stock cooler on my AMD X4 860k, is there a certain way the cooler faces?

the cooler/fan output typically points to the back of the pc. (usually where a output fan is at).

The only fan in the case is an intake fan on the back.
