Hello, I'm currently using some random Minton mouse and I don't use a mouse pad.

I'm thinking of buying a gaming mouse and I've been wondering if I should get a mouse pad with it.
Does it make a difference?

Like, I feel like it should help in some way but I've been using this mouse on a wooden surface for almost a year and after some time dust would stick under it and would ruin my muscle memory for games such as CS:GO.
So what happens is since it gets dusty under the mice, I get used to playing with it and when it starts to get annoying (it goes onto sides) I clean it, it screws up my sensitivity and I have to start all over again.

Will mouse pad help me get rid of this problem?

Solution
A mouse pad is great . It will extend the quality and life span of your peripherals. It will solve your issue . I do recommend buying a extended mouse Mat. It will improve your gaming experience

depends on the optics of the mouse some mice I got do well on a pad some not so well and work excellent just on the bare desktop

some mouse pads materials may not reflect or track certain optics well

all you can do is get your mouse and test it out to see how it reacts the best on what surface

read the specs on the pads and see if they recommend it or not for certain optics or end users reviews on whats what
