Does MSI Afterburner mess with voltages?

Hello,

I have an Nvidia GT720 (actually a GT635) in my SFF HP Elite 8300. To get a constant 60fps in Overwatch, I have overclocked it, then I wanted to see how far it would go. This little thing is insane, i am at +190mhz Core, +230mhz Memory (and still have room as far as I can see) and during a long stress test it had zero artifacts and runs at 51-52C max.

I don't want shorten its lifespan too much, so I am wondering if MSI afterburner messes with the voltage. I've read high temperature and higher voltage will shorten life span. Since temperature is in check, I'm wondering if MSI AB changes the stock voltage at all to achieve this OC.

Thanks.

Solution
no, it will not "raise" the voltage unless you instruct it to. it is possible with bad gpu drivers msi ab could cause your card to become locked in a higher power state leading to unwanted power waste and added heat from inability to throttle down, but it wouldn't hurt anything... this is highly unlikely though.
yes msi ab can adjust voltages. it may not be able to on your gt720 as the voltage controller on the gpu may be locked. but you can go into msi ab settings and put a check mark for the box that allows voltage tuning or any other setting that has to do with voltages. give it a try. if it does allow you to add more vcore then there will be a limit that is still well within being safe.

I don't want to raise it, I just want to know if After burner raises the voltage (above un-overclocked) automatically when i set the OC.

As I said, temperature is still super low on a stress test.
