does my motherboard and case have the same amount of expansion slots a website told me the case and mother board have to have the same amount of expansion slots.
one part of another forum on this website said for my video card and mother board to be compatible I have to have a pci express slot on my mother board

motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
case: Case Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case
storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card
cpu :Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cpu cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

since you are asking these questions, I take it you have not bought anything yet?


if so don't buy that power supply, get a good 550w like the supernova GS


also get the cryorig h7 instead of the hyper 212

As you can see, that motherboard has THREE pcie slots...

..........expansion slots are found on the motherboard not on cases...
most cases has same structure...however u need to have a case big enuf in size to fit ur entire system...

..........all current motherboards have pcie slots...
