I installed some Thermalright TL-C12C-S X3 CPU Fan 120mm in addition to the built-in fans. I cannot seem to get the case fans running. I was just playing Arma Reforger 4k and the fans aren't moving. (The cpu air cooler is working). I have messed with the BIOS and Armoury Crate but I think I am missing something with the fan controller.

One of the cables built into the fan controller is hooked into the mobo header. The other cable isn't plugged into anything as it is a weird looking plug.

My mobo is ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI.

Any suggestions?

If the other end is the one you've shown in your Imgur album, whereby it's a SATA power connector, then yes that one delivers power to the PWM fan hub. Power down your system, turn off the main wall outlet and then connect the fan hub's power connector to an available SATA harness from the PSU. Just as a once over, make sure that the PWM header for the PWM fan hub is seated properly on the motherboard. If you can identify it, which fan header on the motherboard is the fan hub occupying?

You should be able to get all fans working after that.

After I posted, I realized what that plug was. I plugged it into the 850w PSU. But when I pressed power, the mobo flashed, and then after a couple seconds, only the ram rgb lights up. I tried several times.

When I unplugged the cord, everhthing worked. I did it all again, and same results.

These sata harness cables came from my previous 750w psu. They wouldn't be the problem? Now using an 850w?

This was the problem. The Sata power cable had different pin alignment. I found the cables that came with this case and it works. Thanks.
