Does my motherboard support dolby 7.1 surround?

Curious if my motherboard supports dolby 7.1 surround

My motherboard: Asus M5A97 r2.0 version rev 1.xx

Thinking of getting Razer Thresher Ultimates but I am not sure if my motherboard will work with them.

So I guess it does

I think it hooks up via USB or Optical, im having a hard time finding out how it actually works on a PC.
