I have a 500GB HDD, and I'd like to add a second, 1TB HDD. I was looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0088PUEPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

but it says it's 6 GB/s, while my motherboard: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A78LM_LX3/specifications/

claims to have "AMD SB710 controller :
4 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), blue
Support Raid 0, 1, 10, JBOD" in the Storage section. Will the motherboard support this HDD?

How would I plug it? power cable from the PSU + SATA to the motherboard?

Solution
The motherboard will support it just the interface will run slower. That said its a hard drive, it can't run anywhere near the max speed of that SATA interface anyway so there's nothing to worry about.

Yes SATA power from PSU, and SATA data cable from the motherboard.
