2 years ago, with limited knowledge of computers, I was given a brand new PC. An off the shelf PC from Best Buy... oh, if I knew. Since then, I have transferred all of the components in a new case. I changed the PSU and GPU. Now, I want to add an HDD. But the question is: Does my motherboard support it?
Here is the SSD I want:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147371&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction-Storage&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-Storage-_-Solid%20State%20Disk-_-SAMSUNG-_-20147371&cm_sp=&AID=11892366&PID=6361382&SID=hawk-1446717304
Here are the specifications of my motherboard:
-Form factor: uATX: 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches)
-Chipset: Intel Z87
-Memory sockets: 4 x DDR3
-Processor socket: LGA1150
-Expansion Slots:
-1 PCI Express x16 (Gen3.0)
-3 PCI Express x1 (Gen2.0)
-1 half-length mini card
You can find all the information here: http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c03927014
One last thing... for games like Fallout 4 and GTA 5, how many GB do you recommend I get?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
