I have a question about my Motherboard Asus prime H270-Plus
I Went to Asus Website to see is there any UEFI Updates and i see the update to Windows 11

The Link : https://www.asus.com/supportonly/prime h270-plus/helpdesk_bios/ "Support Windows 11 by default, no settings changes required in the UEFI BIOS"

im not to sure about should i update my BIOS/UEFI just to install/update to windows 11 , and i know there are risks about when you update the BIOS/UEFI that i could brick my motherboard

I dont know what to do till this point I hope i get some feedback about what to do because Windows 10 end support is in October,14,2025

And My CPU is Intel i5 6500 3.20 Ghz Which i know that doesnt support windows 11 cpu compatibility
I have the TPM 2.0 and secure boot ON , But should i still upgrade to Windows 11

I really hope someone replies about this

My version of my BIOS/UEFI is 1250 but the latest one is 2001

From what intel said and from linus tech tips, Windows 11 works only on chipsets 10 series and higher. It has to be 64bit hardware for 11 to be compatible. So you would have to get an i7 10k series, 11k series or 12k series motherboard and cpu. Here be the steps and the pc health check - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...hardware-f3bc0aeb-6884-41a1-ab57-88258df6812b

If you want windows 11, you would need an upgrade. Even a i7 9700k isnt compatible. In the link which is an official microsoft website, theres a link in there where you click on "install the PC Health Check app here." Its a file by microsoft, if you dont feel too sure, talk to a microsoft live agent in their chat customer service, you can ask them yourself, they will send you to the same file link or a webpage. They will have you do steps so if you want, they will tell you the same thing, you would have to upgrade to a new motherboard and cpu.
