Does my power supply have enough watts, volts, or amps to power my computer?

but I want to upgrade it by replacing the 220 watt power supply with this 300 watt power supply: http://eboxdirect.com/brnew300watf1.html

and I'm also adding a graphics card since my computer only came with integrated graphics. The video card I'm buying is the MSI AMD Raedon r7 240: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FRHIIPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

What I'm concerned about is that my power supply might not have enough amps, watts, or volts to power my graphics card. I'm no expert in power supplies so I dont know if I need amps, watts, or volts. Help is much appreciated and thanks in advance.

I'd recommend a 450w PSU minimum.

The card can run on less, but, as always, running a PSU near its maximum capacity is bad for the component.

Furthermore, if you're pushing the limits of what your GPU can do it's always best to have a large power leeway.

The way I look at it, getting too powerful of a PSU just means you can reuse it in later builds, getting too weak of one is a pricey mistake.

Flame me for saying this but you should be fine with just the 220w. The r7 240 draws maybe 50 or so watts in furmark... Toms hardware has an oc'd i7 test bench with a liquid cooler and 16gb ram and they said that whole system with a r7 240 draws only 120w load.

you should be fine with a 240 w/o upgrading psu.
