Let's say both when charging and not charging has the same battery mode (balance).

I was wondering if the performance of copying process between drives in my laptop, and between laptop drive and external hard disk will increased when charging compare to when not charging.

Does it...?

Solution
No, it also won't increase by all that much if you compare balanced mode to high performance. The transfer rate is going to be limited primarily by the bandwidth of the hardware itself.
