Question does putting commercial masking tape onto laptops to secure flex pin cable advisable?

The technician added masking tape onto the flex pin cable in order to make sure they are "secured". Are there any issues regarding high temperature when gaming, since this laptop is non-gaming, it might get hot and the tape might interfere with the internal components? I would like to know your thoughts regarding this question. Thank you.

Are you referring to ribbon cab les? If so, they should be secure enough to not require any tape over them but the tape you're looking for is known as Kapton tape;
