Does Ryzen Apu still benefit from 4ram sticks?

I want to add 2 more ram sticks to the already existing 2 ram sticks which are 2400 OC to 2666.
Since Ryzen APU benefits from Dual Channel ram will addition of 2 more ram sticks keep the same performance or degrade it?
My Ram is Adata 2400Mhz and I will add same model 2x 4gb 2400Mhz to make total of 16gb 2400 OC to 2666.

Motherboard is Ga-ax370-gaming rev 1.x
Cpu is R5 2400G

If you're confident you're going to get the exact same kit of ram, then go ahead. You will be able to have both kits run in dual channel. Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard.

But this article says something that single rank and dual rank ddr4 are clocked automatically to 2133 and 1866 :O

Bump
