Does temperature affect FPS in game?

Hi guys,
I've got GTX 780TI SC. It's a reference model, so little hot. For example, I was playing "Tera" today & it gets 82 celsius in game. And my question is, if it can affect FPS in game, cause I was quite disappointed when my card gets fps from 80 to 48 sometimes in that game.

Take the third box and drag it up to 100 at 80 degrees, this is just to test your temps at full load, it will be loud. You can then adjust it down some, depending how cool it stays at 100%.

I think you are right, I think it has throttling. I just ran 3 times Furmark & check in all 3 screens temps & fps differences:

P.S. Stock settings.

You can see it has better fps performance with the lowest temps and that looks like a lower clock speed too at 900 and the third one was 980 clock.

EDIT: Were they different clock speeds you had for each one? Do you have your on screen display set to display GPU usage and your clock speeds and temps and all that? And also it's not a ton of difference in that benchmark but you don't know how that translates in actual gameplay.

It did everything automatically, I didn't change anything. If there's difference in 1 fps in 1 celsius, then it's very bad, cause on 82 celsius I will have quite bad fps. I don't know what to do now 🙁
I need something like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CDqThG2pEc
But even if I buy it, I have no idea how to install it. I'm total noob in such things :|

This is what I would do, you could turn the temp limit up on afterburner to say 90 to see if it will help eliminate any throttling, these cards are capable of 96 or more before risking things. Then I would maybe reduce the fan curve to around 80-85% at around 80 degrees and see if it is not too loud and will keep your temps still under 80 at full load.
