Dear Experts

I have got a Logitech G305 Mouse which I've tried on 3 laptops and 2 desktops, in total 5 computers on Windows 10 and 11, and on all of them I am getting this message :

"USB device not recognized. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it"

Does that mean I need to toss said mouse in to the rubbish ?

Thx

The G305 is a wireless mouse. So, make sure it's charged, connect the usb receiver to the computer and turn the mouse power on (there's always a switch on/off on wireless mouses). You could also try to install Ghub (use another mouse for the download and install process) and see if it detects the G305. If nothing of the above works, it's likely a defective mouse.

it does seem strange that you got a message to say its not recognised .... i would have expected it to just not work without any messages
Yes I agree it should not work without any message ,,,,,it was working on my desktop for a year or so and stopped working then I started testing it on other 4 devices

Mouse driver(s)? Source? How installed - manually or via some tool or utility?

If you boot a host computer into Safe Mode will the mouse fully work?

Look in Device Manager to determine if any of the computers are noting any driver related problems.

Likewise look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any other mouse and/or USB errors, warnings, or even informational Events.

Hello Ralston
I have got two mice G305 white and blue both of them were working fine and I hadn't needed to install any driver for them.
White one stopped working ,,,,,and blue one still is functional
I will try you suggested and see what is the outcome
Regards
