Does the difference between a GTS 1050 and GTX 1060 justify the price difference

I need to buy another laptop and would like to know if the performance difference between a GTX 1050 and 1060 is worth the difference in price.

Bearing in mind that I am upgrading from a laptop that had a GTX 660M card (Lenovo Y580) and that I am mainly playing MMO's like WOW and Elder Scrolls, would spending $150 dollars more be worth it. With the nwe PC I would also be trying out the Witcher 3.

I am in Canada.

Also is Asus still the better brand between Asus and MSI or is MSI now the better one?

1060 is a failry large performance boost over the 1050s.

asus and msi are closely matched perfomance wise but id give the edge to msi for aftersales and warrenty.

The 1060 is far better than a 1050. You might want to also look at a 1050ti or the 3gb GTX 1060, assuming you are looking at the 6gb version. What are the rest of the system specs going to be?

Whichever one it is that you buy you should sell it on eBay for 5 bucks
