Hello Forum,

I was buying the parts for my first computer today and I was having trouble figuring out if my motherboard supports 4 8GB sticks of DDR3. I have placed the links in this post so could you please let me know if it will be okay? I went onto the memory compatibility page but it didn't show my sticks but it didn't show any 8GB sticks but the board supports 32GB of ram so it must take some 8 gig sticks.

RAM:

I was also looking at other 32 gig sets at 1866 Mhz and 2133, would they most likely work on the board? Thanks

it should, but my anus sabertooth 990fx did not like them at all . would only run stable wit one stick in any slot . 2 or more it would get ''funny'' .. so I stuck them in this z87 build and they work excellent on it with out issues now I'm happy with them 100% - go figure .

just because the board supports 32 gb don't mean you have to use that much you could do just fine with the 16gb 2 stick kit

just remembered my buddy has that board [rev3] with the 32 gb of g skill but I don't see it at new egg it came with a cooling fans cant recall if it was 1866 or what but it worked fine for him he went with that and I went with the 1600 ??

in the end with any memory you stick it in fire it up and hope for the best memory can be finicky as I showed with me with it not doing well on one build but works great on another ??

What do you mean rev 4.0? Is that board I linked rev 4.0?

it should . like with any of this computer stuff theres that chance it may not or it will with a lot of tuning or it will work 100% just by setting the xpm profile ? nothing is a guarantee ..

you seen like with me where it may work fine on one build but not so good on another ? amd has weak memory controllers on there chips and it was not that long ago they were speced for just 1333 ? my buddies am3+ worked out way better then mine did but just for the heck of it I reused that memory that did not do well on my am3+ and it fully worked on the intel z87 first boot no issues at all .. so I went from not happy with that memory to now I'm happy with it ..

you buy- you try - and hope it don't make you cry .. I honestly don't see a issue with it .. it going to do the same as the first kit you posted -- it will work as you expect it to or it will not . that's with any part
