I am too lazy to open up my rig to make sure there is actually a slot in there but too paranoid to buy an M.2 SSD without being sure... Does anyone have this mobo that can confirm?

It says there is an M.2 slot on my mobo on its product page but for some reason I remember not being able to buy one all those years ago when I bought it. I could just be misremebering. Or maybe it's not PCI compatible so it wasn't worth it.

Solution
1 x M.2 connector on the back of the motherboard (Socket 3, M key, type 2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x4/x2/x1 SSD support)

It is PCIe 2.0 and a x4 drive willl give speeds up to 20Gb/s.
