Does the gtx 1080 will work in SLI with the 1080 ti?

Hello.
The 1080Ti is just around the corner, and I have a GTX 1080 STRIX ADVANCED, and was wondering if the two will work in SLI, because 1080 and 1070 works in SLI.
(My monitor is PG278QR 1440p 165hz)
Also, while I'm at it. Supposedly it actually works. Does it work well? without harming the parts?

No. Also the 1080 and 1070 don't work in SLI. You have to use the same GPU.
