Well the title pretty much says everything i head the intel i3 10th gen takes like half of your RAM for the IGPU but does it still take that much amount of RAM even after installing the IGPU
So i can add a discreet GPU and disable the IGPU right? and does AMD also have this option? It does not take that much, at least not all the times and it depends on how much mem you have in the first place.
You do set a minimum amount in bios which can be as low as 32Mb and then it can take more than that up to I think 2Gb if you run something that does need that much ram.
So if you put in a discreet GPU and leave the iGPU enabled you only lose the minimum amount of ram you have set up in bios.
(Again unless you do something on the igpu that uses more ram)
Usually with discrete GPU in the system, integrated GPU gets disabled automatically. So i can add a discreet GPU and disable the IGPU right? and does AMD also have this option?
Thank you but i got 1 more question why did Intel release 2 i3 10th gen variants one with IGPU and other without it?Yes it does take a TINY TINY TINY ammount or else the system wont function properly, or detect there is a IGPU.
That trace amount is not even to be bothered.
By TINY TINY TINY i mean like 2-3 MBs*
I hope you are satisfied with my answer![]()
If you were Intel and had a batch of processors with faulty iGPUs (but otherwise a fully functional processor), what would you do? Leave them in the junk bin or try and sell them?Thank you but i got 1 more question why did Intel release 2 i3 10th gen variants one with IGPU and other without it?
Bruh is that actually true i mean even AMD started doing it.If you were Intel and had a batch of processors with faulty iGPUs (but otherwise a fully functional processor), what would you do? Leave them in the junk bin or try and sell them?

From what I've been able to find out, that's the gist of it. Intel disables the iGPU if it's faulty and sells it (typically, but not always) at a slightly lower cost. AMD, I think, went the other way around, trying to add graphics to a specific line of processors.Bruh is that actually true i mean even AMD started doing it.
468DX and 486SX, from last century.CPU being sold with disabled cores is old news.
