[SOLVED] Does the Processor matters for the compatibility of the ram

Hello i wanted to buy myself a ram 16gb for my new pc build so i was thinking will my processor supports ram higher than 2133/2400mhz

looks like you might be able to use 2666/2800/3000 MHz DDR4 RAM - there are some compatible sticks listed under corsair. haven't looked at other ram manufacturers. but doesn't state what speed they'll run at.

Well, yes and no. Some CPUs have a limit on amount and frequency of RAM they can address. IMC (internal Memory Controller) is independent of cores so overclocking cores does not affect memory frequency.
Some processors allow IMC overclocking and some don't.
