does the r9 280x support 144 hz?

i have 2 questions 1. does my gygabite windforce r9 280x supports 144hz? and on it i have a mini displayport , is it different from the normal displayport and if i use an adaptter will i be able to play in 144hz? Thank you for your answers

I think that only Nvidia cards support G-sink. The monitor will work and give good frame rates and quality though.

Yes it supports 144hz. Mini dp is the same capabilities as dp just a different size.
