So I've got all the components for a new gaming PC, except for the RAM. I do have an old workstation with 3GB of RAM. All I know about it is DDR3 SDRam, PC3-10600, unbuffered, and non-ecc. It comes from the DELL Precision t3500. I'm going to put it on an ASRock 870 Extreme3 R2.0 with AMD fx 6300. Will this cause any problems? Thanks.

The Dell you salvaged the ram from is "Memory Up to 24GB4 1333MHz ECC and non-ECC memory in 6 DIMM s" so im guess in you got a stick with 1gb 1333 mhz and a stick of 2 gb 1333. It should fit you the ASrock, but for gaming 3 gb of ram is quite short.

Ok, thanks
Yeah I know it is not much but I was on a budget of €300,- so I need to save up a little more to buy some ram, but I can at least boot up my pc now.
