[SOLVED] Does the Ryzen 5 1600AF support 3200Mhz?

Im gonna use the B450M Pro4 motherboard and the ram is 2x8GB Corsair Vangeance 3200Mhz

I believe that officially it supports only 2666MHz RAM just like the 1600. However, do to BIOS updates and running a B450 you can probably get 3200MHz to work.

Yes it will work with DDR4 3200 ram, in a B450 board. I have used both the 1600ae and 1600af, in Asrock B450 budget boards, and they all ran with DDR4 3200 ram, at 3200 speeds. I used G-skill ripjaws CL16, though, for all those builds. 2 were microcenter bundles. I doubt corsair would give any trouble though.

What price are you seeing the 1600AF for? That processor was a really good value for a while, but at this point it tends to not be priced as attractively, at least in the US. It might be worth looking at a faster Ryzen 3000-series part instead at this point. You would need to make sure the motherboard has a compatible BIOS installed for the newer processor though.

I live in the netherlands and the pc prices haven't really changed drastically. The 1600AF is almost since its launcha stable €113,95.
