I have this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G54W6344&cm_re=cougar_700_watt_power_supply-_-17-553-024-_-Product) powersupply. I want to buythis (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132566) motherboard, im kind of confused because in some places it says 8-pin and other places it says 24-pin or ATX and EATX

You need both an 8-pin EPS (or 4-pin EPS on some boards) and a 24-pin ATX, so that PSU is compatible... but that isn't a very good PSU.

Have a look at this -
