I was looking into PSUs, and I'm not sure if I bought a good one enough....

Corsair CX Series CX450M 450W ATX 12V 80 Plus Bronze Certified Modular Power Supply

The cx450m is one of the newer 2015 models & is good quality.
Its based off the gold rated RM series of psu's internally & has nothing in common with the older models.

So , yes you bought a good enough quality unit IMO.

As MeanMachine mentions , whether it's suitable for your system power wise depends wholly on what components you're running.

The brand and quality of the components used in Corsair Psu`s are good and reliable.
However as said by the prior poster to your question.

In order to get the correct power supply in the range of psu`s that corsair provide.
You need to post all of the specifications of the the hardware you have in your system Nicolas.

To make sure you get the right wattage output of the power supply to power all of the system components of your system reliably.

The Bronze, Sliver, and Gold certification you see, relates to how efficient the power supply can provide the system you have when at a high wattage demand from the system, and how much energy is produced as waste age.

As an example, a 3d graphics card at Idle, at windows desktop will require, and consume less electricity, or amount of watts from the power supply unit.

But as soon as you launch or play a game on your system such as a FPS like black ops III the card in the system requires more electricity and watts provided from the Psu fitted to your system.

So in order to work out the maximum wattage needed we need you to post a list of all the hardware of your system.
Graphics card used, and model number, The cpu you are using.
How many hard disk drives the system has, or SSD drives, and any other add in cards in the system to any drives connected to it via external ports from the system, such as external hard drive enclosures.

That way we can recommend the correct wattage of power supply you will need to keep the system stable.
when running it at all times.
