I assume your overclocking or else you don't need that PC4000 ram, PC3200 will suffice

Please let us know how the Hitachi HD works out. I have an old IBM Deskstar that still runs fine, but I would probably buy a different drive.

Abit IS7 - 3.0C @ 3.6ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot

I've been buying all Samsung for drives and monitors for the last year. No problems with anything.

I would look at Maxtor MaxLine III 16mb cache 3year warranty.

Yes, that looks like a sweet system, should work like a charm...Wish I had one like it to build!!!
That RAM is kick ass! You are getting 2x512 for 1gig of dual channel right?

Nah, I looked up that company, they're canadian. Must be a different company, because I'm pretty certain the one I'm thinking of is Californian.

It doesn't matter in this case, the Via chipset is just as fast and both the K8T800 Pro's and Nforce 3's have PCI/AGP locks. Just be more careful when getting via's, because there are boards out there that don't have working locks. Some games via wins some nvidia wins. I personally like Nforce better, but I own a Asus A8V with K8T800 Pro cause Asus doesn't make Nforce 3 baords(only Nforce 4 SLI, but i don't have PCI-E graphics card, mine's AGP) and i dont trust other mobo makers any more to go with a different baord maker. Not after this abit board on my P4, its ok, but has a bunch of flaws that shouldn't exist consider the price. Oh and just ignore the profi, its not updated yet.

P4 2.6c@3 / 1GB OCZ DDR533 / Abit IC7-Max3 /
BFG Geforce 6800 GT @ 410/1100 /
Baracuda 7200.7 120 GB SATA / Lian-Li PC-65 Case
/ SyncMaster 700nf Monitor / 3DMark03-12100

I rather have an ECS that an Asus ...dont like Asus....but that's me. Other opinions may vary.
