Question Does TUF B450-M plus support pcie gen 4 at all?

I have a TUF B450-M plus motherboard, and I am looking to purchase a WD_Black SN850X. I have read that the motherboard doesn’t fully support PCIe gen 4, and that they removed it in a previous bios update . I don’t mind the idea that it won’t be reaching its maximum speeds as I am aware that the board is only PCIe gen 3, I just wanted to check that it would still work or whether there would be any work arounds?

You can drop in PCIe 4.0 gear, just that they will operate at PCIe 3.0 speeds. Make sure you're on the latest BIOS version prior to any hardware upgrades.

okay thanks. when i see people talking about it not supporting it does that just mean it doesn’t get full speed? I was a bit thrown off by people talking about downgrading the bios for it.
