My friend tested Airplane mode and it does not completely disconnect phone. It still emit signals sometimes.
If you remove battery, than logically, it can't emit eny signal. But it is not so fast, easy, and practic in Iphone, to remove battery.
So now I wonder what just turning-off really does? Does it provide (or recive) any signal, including sending signal for mobile service (GSM, 3G, 4G, or whatevery it is named or used), or GPS, to just ANYONE including mobile service provider, Apple, or any other organisation.
Any signal, even at slower rate, which can be used to make phone travel and location history, in real time, or at any time later.
Or it is really completelly cut off from the rest of world while turned-off?
I understand that phone is not completelly "dead" while turned-off, keeping calendar, time, alarm time, etc., will continue to work and we all understand that, but question is about cellular network (if I spell right), GPS, or any other location and activity related signal.
tnx!
