[SOLVED] Does unlocking xmp void my warranty?

Hello
I would like to enable xmp to raise ram speeds to 2933mhz.Currently it is running at 2133mhz(SPD).Will doing so improve my PC performance?Will it in any way void the CPU or motherboard or ram warranty?Also why is my ram clocked significantly lower than my tested speed?

Ryzen 3 2200g
Asrock b450m hdv r4.0
Gskill 8gb 3200mhz ripjaws 5
Corsair cx 550

No X.M.P will not void your warranty. The speed is known as JEDEC specs. Out of the box that's what it will be. You just need to enable the profile or manually input the frequency, timings and voltage to get to the advertised overclocked number.

Is my motherboard supporting this oc.Will there be noticable change in performance?Also I am using it with my sapphire r9 270x.

‚Yes it should be noticeably with that difference in memory speed and of course possible.

The reason the RAM is clocked lower by default is that the XMP profile CAN be unstable. I've tried that myself. I had to give it a smidge more voltage to make it stable.
Imagine if the PC was more than a little unstable running XMP. If the BIOS was set to XMP profiles by default you'd have no way of resetting(the BIOS) yourself out of the situation.

Activating XMP profiles is a standard step when you've assembled a new PC with fast RAM.

I hope this answers why you had to do this in the first place.
