[SOLVED] Does using MPRT response time sacrifice Freesync?

I was planning on getting a monitor with a 1 ms response time, but I noticed it was MPRT. I've heard that using MPRT disables FreeSync/G SYNC. Is this true?

MPRT = moving picture response time. It's a measurement of response time, not a setting.

The 1 ms measurement is only achievable using backlight strobing, which is not compatible with FreeSync/G-Sync.
