I read a post that says VGA displays better text, is it true? (screenshot of post below)

Does VGA or HDMI or DVI display better text?

Is VGA or HDMI or DVI better for overall experience, graphics, text...?

Thanks.

It will depend on the monitor but generally the all digital interconnects (HDMI, DVI) will have better text than VGA. VGA is an analog interconnect. That means that the digital data in the PC that represents the display had to be converted to analog (degradation #1) and then for an LCD monitor converted back to digital in the monitor (degredation #2) before being displayed.

The article you reference is 4+ years old and are using 7 year old monitors as examples. Unless you have 10+ year old display hardware, use the DVI or HDMI. Most newer graphics cards don't even HAVE VGA ports. They have been deleted from the features.
