I know that Windows 7 64..
-Does install and run on AMD Ryzen 1st Gen Desktop Processors
-Does not install on AMD Ryzen G APUs (I guess you get BSOD)

However what I am not sure about is does Windows 7 64 install and run fine on AMD Ryzen 2nd Gen Desktop processors? I guess they are code named Pinnacle Ridge.

I see this statement on Gigabyte Motherboard site for some of its B350 chipset boards

To support Windows 7 64-bit, you must install an AMD Pinnacle Ridge & Summit Ridge CPU

I built last month a Ryzen 5 2600X running without issues on a ASUS X470 Pro (mind you not the best option out there) on Windows 7 Ultimate.

I simply used the Asus EZ Install software which came with the mobo, but you can easily slipstream your mobo's chipset and USB3.0 drivers on a Windows 7 Installation ISO and should have it running, the main issue is the inability to use USB ports on the mobo due to lack of loaded drivers during installation, and on some mobos even after installation is completed. By slipstreaming them you solve this issue enabling you to use your kb and mouse to complete the installation.

Thanks for this information. That means in principle Windows 7 should work on Ryzen 2nd Gen Desktop CPUs. Yes I know how to slipstream drivers using DISM tools. There's very little info about Ryzen 2nd Gen and Windows 7 on the internet.
As much as possible I still want to stick with Windows 7!
