DOES WINDOWS 7 MAKES A LAP TOP OVERHEAT AND SHOT DOWN WHILE PLAYING GAMES? ANY SOLUTIONS IF SO? ITS A TOSHIBA QOSMIO G- force 9700 intel duo core

Please don't post in caps.

Windows 7 itself will not cause your laptop to overheat. Dust buildup in the fans, bad contact between the CPU and heatsink, and dried or simply old thermal paste will. Check each one of those that you can, short of voiding your warranty and see if the laptop runs any cooler.

Lap top is new. When i had windows vista all games worked great. But now on windows 7 all of THOSE games work but some of make my lap top shut down after 15-20 min. Like Need for speed Most Wanted... it worked on Vista good but on windows 7 i play for 15 min in lap top dies... .

Both your CPU and GPU temperatures are rather high. Take a can of compressed air to the air vent in your laptop to get rid of any dust buildup. It's likely shutting down on COD5 and Bad Company 2 because those games are more taxing on the GPU than other games.

but it never happened when i had windows vista. And right away, when i installed windows 7 the problem began. I play fifa 2010 for hours and hours and it never shuts down on me. I downloaded 2007 Medal of honor airborne, 10 min. of playing and lap-top shuts down. Before windows 7 genuine version i also had windows 7 not genuine and worked perfectly. Ill try to get rid of dust and ill keep you posted. May be it is because of windows 7 64bit? If cleaning dust won't work ill try to switch back to windows vista and try playing then.

As I said before, Fifa (and other sports games) is not a game that requires a lot of graphics power to run. Medal of Honor, and Call of Duty (and other first person shooters) require the GPU to work a lot harder, thus drawing more power, therefore generating more heat. And if that heat cannot escape because of dust buildup, you end up with the situation you're in... with the system shutting itself off after 10 minutes.

The version of Windows (32 or 64 bit, or legit or not) does not make any difference.
