Does Xeon x3430 support gigabyte h55 motherboard?

I have a gigabyte h55 1156 socket mobo. Currently I am running Intel g2020 CPU on the board. Want to upgrade with a Xeon x series. But I happened to know that my mobo supports Xeon x3450 CPU which is indeed much costlier than x3430. Won't x3430 really support my mobo?

Solution

How? The g2020 is socket 1155 and is not compatible with that socket 1156 board.
Looky here. The X3430 is a LGA 771 CPU. There's 771 pins on the bottom of it. Your current G2020 is a LGA 1156 CPU. It has 1156 pins on the bottom of it. The 771-pin CPU is not going to physically fit a 1156-pin socket. You actually risk damaging the CPU and the motherboard if you even ATTEMPT to run it.

The Xeon X3430 is socket 1156.
