Okay so I am trying to make a budget friendly 7.1 surround sound system, I have all the speakers I need, I am using a StarTech7.1 USB sound card which (obviously) supports 7.1 surround sound, but it doesn't work on everything, so I want to use Dolby Atmos, but when I try to configure the "Dolby Atmos for home theater" it says my StarTech USB card is not compatible, the only ones that are, are the monitors that are connected to my GTX 1650 (HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort)
Is there anyway to bypass the non compatible issue?
Is there a way to trick windows and/or Dolby into thinking the StarTech7.1 USB sound card IS on HDMI
or am I just "S.O.L."?
also this is on my Windows 10
My PC is
Windows 10 Pro
Intel Core i7 7700
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
DVI- In use
HDMI- In use
DP- In use
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
DVI- -Empty
HDMI- In use
32gb DDR4 Ram
