Hey there i bought a new pc before 3 months . I spend about 900-1000 $ and i notice that with the new games( like Assassins creed 4 , batman arkham origin ,battlefield 4 , crysis 3 etc ) i have at ultra-high graphics only 20 or 30 fps . I was think that i would play all games with high- ultra graphics about 1 or 2 years more . So iam here to ask your advice for what should i updgrade for playing with higher fps (40-50 or and 60 why not ) and better graphics anyway .
my system is this
CPU : intel i-7 4770 3.4 ghz
ram : 8 gb 1600
gpu : gtx 660 2 gb
motherboard: asus H87M-plus
120 SSD and 2 tera HDD
Thank you for you time and sorry for bad english 😛

For the GPU you have atm, the performance you're getting sounds about right IMO. I was never that
impressed with the 660, baring in mind that even two 460s in SLI can be quicker than a 670.

Hard to know what to recommend without knowing your budget, and would you prefer to buy all
new or are you happy to exploit 2nd-hand sources?

-Unolocogringo Thanks for your words and advices :) I think that is the the way that i will follow.

- bkoop i think you are right but i already have spend a lot of money on this . So i feel that i have to make something that is worth and not leave it that way . :/

-mapesdhs and bkoop i have to answer together : im thinking about spend a 500-600 $ or euros better cuz iam for greece . but if you have any smart upgrades with a little bit price-distance will be welcome :)

Do you play at 1920x1080?

GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 WindForce 3X 450W Video Card $330 US
GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 WindForce 3X 450W Video Card $390 US
GIGABYTE GV-N780GHZ-3GD GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 Video Card $510 US

I guess it depends on whether you plan on adding a 2nd card later. If not, then bkoop's suggestion of a 780 (or
better still a 780 Ti) would be my suggestion. Alternatively, as a budget option, two used GTX 580 3GB would
cost a lot less and be faster than a 780 (that's what I'm using atm, with a 5GHz 2700K).

If your budget is 500 euro's then you should get a gtx 780 ti best single card on the market that will last you quite a while. Remember gaming wise the Graphics card is the most important part in a computer. Also here are some benchmarks of the gtx 780 ti if your interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X2sTLiLSkw.

Ah, if your board only supports CF then perhaps a 290X with a better cooler would be more sensible,
re being able to add a 2nd for CF in the future.

Just curious btw, how much did the H87M-Plus cost you?

I bought another ASUS M4E last week for about 70 UKP, still one of the best gaming boards IMO.

Ian.
