Hey Guys:)
I would really appreciate if you could help me:)
I have a question because I would like to play on a 2560x1080 monitor and I need help. Currently, I own a single Geforce GTX 680 and I would like to play the new games on a high resolution(2560x1080) and I would like to get above 60fps at least, would it be better to get another 680?Or either get a single 780ti?Or a dual sli with two 780ti and be future proof?

Note:Currently,When I'm playing AC4:Blackflag I'm only getting around 48-55 fps on a 1920x1200 resolution and everything set to maximum.

Thanks so much for any help:)It will be gladly appreciated

Solution
dual gtx 780ti would be the best configuration from any other else, still another gtx 780 would do the job for you though. It would become monster build for you with gtx 780ti SLI.
If you are in no such hurry, i would ask you to wait for sometimes like for a month. Gtx Titan Black will be released on 19th Feb i.e. tomorrow. Check the performance of that card at peak performance after reviews has been released.

Thanks, but did you mean another 680?When you said "still another gtx 780 would do the job for you though." Oh and the specs are confirmed :) http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-black-specifications-confirmed-launching-week/

yes i did mean gtx 680. Also, gtx 680 sli would be even better than next gpu of like gtx 880. It would definitely outperform any other single gpu in the market. Save money and get another gtx 680; likewise in future you can upgrade to next series(gtx 8xx) when you feel you ain't getting enough from current setup. Also, you will get time to review the performance and rating of upcoming 8xx series. Good luck with another gtx 680 😉

nvidia has worse performance to handle higher resolution than AMD has for better price... so, go along with a r9 290 for 2560x1080 or take a pair of r9 290 to handle 4K resolution...

for higher resolution : r9 290 performance ($400) = GTX TITAN performance ($1000)...

so, highly recommended to choose r9 series...

Do you think 2 680's would out preform a 790?

Really hard to say about that as gtx 790 would be carrying two GK110 GPUs. But it were to be single GPU, then surely it would have. I have read about 2 gtx 760 made equal performance to gtx titan gpu, so looking at that gtx 680 far superior than gtx 760.

Here are the results for 4K with gtx 780ti setup: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gtx_780_ti_sli_geforce_review,23.html
It's up to you, whether you are going to be satisfied with that frame rate or not. In case of future proof, nobody can say how long will your cards hold on perfectly to the last case scenario. Again, best option(if you can't wait that long) would be go with gtx 680 and wait for gtx 790 and next series' evaluation on their performance just so get the best.

Okay so if I were you I would wait a few weeks for the 790 to release and check into that as the Titan black released today so the 790 is right around the corner with nearly triple the cuda cores of a Titan black/780ti with 10gb gddr5 ram (5gb each core) while running awesome 300tdp which is estimated to be between $1000-1500 which for $1400 you be paying the price for 2 780ti, also don't get amd as it runs a lot hotter, also maxwell cpu look to be the amd budget killers as they have like no tdp or power consumption
