Don't Know Which RAM To Get...

Hi,

I will be building a new computer soon and I am wondering which RAM to get. My motherboard will be a B85M-D3H and the processor will be an i5-4570.

My choices are: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8 GB (2X4 GB) 1600mhz 9-9-9-24; Corsair Vengeance Black 8 GB (2X4 GB) 1866mhz 9-10-9-27 or Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x4GB) 2133mhz 11-11-11-27. Also, will they all work at thier maximum speeds with my motherboard?

You want to get some memory with low timings / high frequency. Something like the G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series would be good for you:

You might want to go for a better motherboard its one of the few things you don't want to skimp on as it can effect the optimization of your ram parts it will however support the 8gb I don't know if it will work at their maximum speed.

however the suggestion that edogawa made is correct the gskill ripjaw's latency is ALOT better higher speed and lower latency=better performance so the g skills ripjaws would be best and it's cheaper 10 dollars off right now

Thanks. That is perfect. Just one question though, will my motherboard support the RAM to run at 1866 Mhz or will it downclock to 1600 Mhz.

The computer for light video/audio production, light gaming, programming and schoolwork.

Your motherboard supports up to 1600mhz officially, but you should be able to overclock to 1866.

You will need to set it in the bios, that's pretty much it.
