Question Dosbox EXE issues

I've been trying for days to get an old windows 3 game to install (Gahan Wilson"s ultimate haunted house) with dos box and I can't get past the "this needs windows" error. I know people have used dosbox to emulate this game before, you can stream it on certain sites, but I can't get it to work.

Any tips? Dosbox literally makes my brain hurt

You have to install windows 3 first!
The you have to install s3 drivers for graphics and soundblaster 16 drivers for sound.
After you did all of this you can install your game within windows 3 and play it.

If you look for win3 for dosbox on google there are plenty of guides and resources to find, like already fully installed and set up win3 packages you can download so you don't have to do all the work.

That would be illegal and no dev would do that, as I said if you look on google it easy to find some abandon ware forum that will have ready to run packages.
You would still need to know how to mount the windows folder to make dos box aware of it and mount the iso of your game.

Does the game also come with a DOS executable? It's extremely rare for any game of that era to not ship with a DOS executable.
