Dose plugging my PC in to the wall or power brick matter?

So i got this weird thing where my PC would shut off the screen and then make all the fans run at top speed! This happened twice I found out that this might be a Graphics card issue. But when i looked at the card nothing was wrong with it no burns no noticeable defects or anything i mean i just built this PC maybe going on 3 1/2 months.

Then my dad said that maybe having it plugged in to the same power supple as my TV, DVD/surround sound and like 4 other thing was causing my PC not to get enough power that it needs. So I thought that this might be true so in plugged it into the wall socket itself and its been 2 days of all day use of gaming, homework and web browsing and i have not had the issue. I actually feel like its running a little better.

Was this the cause of issue? Dose it really matter if its plugged in to the same Power brick as other things or no? Any thoughts on what might have happened?

"Dose it really matter if its plugged in to the same Power brick as other things or no?" NO - as long as the house wiring has been done properly.

"my PC would shut off the screen and then make all the fans run at top speed!" - Could be your CPU getting hot and the fan speed being raised automatically to try to cool it down but the CPU gets too hot and then shuts down.

yup i thought the same thing that my CPU was getting to hot since the first time it happened i was playing a game but the 2nd time i was just on the internet since then i been looking at my temps and it never goes passed 70 - 75 when playing games on highest settings. idle and web Browning is 38-50 depending on whether or not im watching a video but once its done buffering it goes right back down to 38ish. Last night i ordered a cooler just to be safe.

Its not overclocked (Never tried overclock so im scared to go down that road right now) at all and my GPU stays in the 60s never over. Also im just using the normal CPU fan till my new one gets here. Also 3rd day in a row of all day use and 3hrs of gaming and runs like butter. Also i did clean it when i opened it to look at the card but even then had very little dust actually my bed side table had more dust then what was in my PC lol. Fans are set to run faster as my CPU gets hotter but when i play i have the top fans at a constant speed to pull hot air out. But i will continue to keep my eye on my temps. Thanks for your info so far tho!:)

Hey sorry been very busy with school and stuff but you will be happy to know my CPU cooler got here and cut my temps pretty much in half i haven't seen it go pass 55 when gaming and idle 25-30 pretty blown away here lol.
