Double A8N-SLI problem

Hi.
I bought an A8N-SLI just 3 days ago, but:
1)When launching nTune, it comes a warning message regarding the HT and
PCI sync. Which bios settings do i have to change to solve the problem?
2) Launching AI Booster after PC boot, I have an error message like
this: ", is not an integer value"... What problem is it?

The ", is not an integer value" is a localization problem. On
my computer here, the decimal point would make a number look
like "1.0" , while in Europe it would be "1,0".

Changing the preference for the representation in Windows is a
poor workaround, but is good enough for a quick test. For
example, try:

Control Panel / Regional Settings /Number / Decimal Symbol
and change it from "," to "."

If you go to the Asus download page, and get the latest version
of the Ai Booster software, this will likely be fixed. Asus has
made this mistake several times in released software, and needs
to improve their release process, to include testing on computers
using different localizations.

What is the exact wording of the warning message you are seeing
(HT and PCI) ? If you copy the exact text and post it here,
perhaps someone will remember having seen that warning.

the

clock for the HT bus, the PCI bus clock will change as well. Please consult
your

motherboard manual to determine how to disable this behavior before
proceeding."



In the A8N-SLI manual there's nothing about it. What to do?

The last question. Which is the better for OC? nTune or AI Booster?

There's a setting in the BIOS for PCI bus locking, you can play with
that one. Also, before that was added, the other way to do it was to set
the HT bus speed to 201 MHz in the BIOS so that it would be unlocked.

I like how Asus doesn't mention adding the PCI bus frequency setting
to the BIOS, in their release notes. It is a good thing the users
keep track of which BIOS has which feature.

So I have to put to 201 the HT bus, isn't it?
I don't find the PCI bus locking setting on the BIOS.

Arrgh. That thread is now missing for some reason. (I got the
link from altavista, searching for a8n-sli "pci lock".)
